Barefoot Syrah is a full bodied, deep purple wine with lavender aromas and robust flavors of blackberry jam. Hints of mocha and toasty vanilla complete the velvety, smooth finish.

Cakebread's interpretation of this wine is a classic expression of the varietal, with aromas of fresh pink grapefruit, mineral, and stone fruit. On the palate, the flavors mirror the aromas. Refreshing and lively fruit acids with hints of mineral, gooseberry, melon and grapefruit all contribute to this wine's overall crisp impression. The wine's lovely fruit intensity and subtle vanilla oak notes carry into the clean, persistent finish.

The vintage is bright with citrus, apple, peach, and vanilla aromas. Rich, mouth-filling flavors of grapefruit, citrus blossom, white peach, and sweet oak lead to a crisp finish with a lasting impression of spicy oak.

A slightly roasted malt gives it a light amber color. The rich flavor that dominates the malt/hops provides a balance that is very popular among most beer drinkers.
